get appropriate message when using merge statement in sql 2008

hello i m using merge statement for multiple action(insert , update , delete) and want to show appropriate massage in asp.net c# like if i insert then want to show message for insert as update and delete. i do not know how i do this with merge statement.Please help me guys...
