Forget the software for a moment, and look at the hardware infrastructure you will need. If you are genuinely expecting 100,000 simultaneous connections being maintained, then you are look at a serious internet connection to start with - this site has only 40,000 or so users online at any one time, and most of the, are not doing anything most of the time (in computer terms), so it might have 40,000 sessions running, but not actually doing anything. Have you seen the dedicated hardware this place is running on? Or the number of people it takes to keep it running? No? Try here: http://www.codeproject.com/info/about.aspx[^]

If you are going to be supporting 100,000 simultaneous connections, you are going to need hardware an order of magnitude more complex.

Think about what you actually want to achieve, and ask again - with better details and a slightly politer tone, if you would be so kind.
