Hello.
I have a project in which i need to combine two mono mics into one stereo mic so that samples from one of them are treated as the Left Channel of stereo mic and samples from the other are the Right Channel. Unfortunately the only thing i was able to do was combine them with Virtual Audio Cable into one input, but that generates a fake stereo mic (it inputs samples from both microphones as both Left and Right Channel, so it kind of combines two mono microphones into a mixed mono microphone).
Anyone knows any good solutions to that?

I'd probably get an adapter that takes two mono connections (3.5mm? tip and ring) and combines them into a stereo (3.5mm). I searched online and it looks like this is about US$5 each.

That's a pretty decent advice, thanks. I'm going to check out the local store to find out if i can buy one.

It might be referred to as a stereo "splitter", taking stereo and splitting into L + R mono outputs.
It's the same adapter, the signals don't know (or care) if they're inputs or outputs.

Fortunately, i found such adapter. Unfortunately, it doesn't work. It does exactly the same as the VAC that i posted above: it treats stereo channel as mono channel (left and right channels have equal signals).

The right adapters DO exist.
I found this one: http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/252280-REG/Hosa_Technology_YMM_261_Stereo_Mini_Male_to.html
Google search: 3.5 mm stereo to 2 mono splitter tip ring
Check that the microphone input on the windows mixer is set to 2 channels normal is set to mono 1 channel
