I want to create stand alone application or a web based add-on for Mozilla or Chrome that can access the notice board of my institute, gather relevant data based on specified search-fields and display the results as a feed. The notice board posts links of notices which can be opened in the browser. I would like to know how to go about it: the language to use , the platform or any suggested reading. Any other help will be appreciated.
