Which ASP control to choose (generally)?

Hi,

I'm pretty new to developing in a C# / ASP environment. After my inital (and proly really stupid) steps, I realize that picking the right ASP control is vital to getting the functionality that you want. However, there seem to be heaps and heaps of controls to pick from. I'd like to know if there is a tutorial, a guide, or a general overview of available controls to help decide which one to pick in any particular situation?
