.NET Framework 2.0 uses CLR version 2.0 when .NET framework 4.0 uses v4.0. The CLR version is different. Thus, we might need to do some changes of the existing program like source code to make it work properly on .NET 4.0.

Does not exist any tool to do this?

Why would anyone write a tool to convert code to support old technology??

No, there is no tool to do this. You have to do the conversion by hand.

I would highly suggest finding a better hosting company that supports .NET 4.5. There's tons of them out there. I get the feeling that your current hosting company isn't going to be around for much longer if they're not upgrading.

The only way to go backwards is to remove any code that .Net 2.0 does not support. I would recommend getting a new hoster.
