Can some one please let me know the steps for editing an RDLC file? I have an RDLC file working in classic asp environment. So, it is enough to just make the change and save the RDLC file to see the output on screen?

No. Not enough.

You need BIDS to edit/update a RDL file. Once done, you need to redeploy it. Start from here: Creating an ASP.NET report using Visual Studio 2010 - Part 2[^]

Hi Sandeep,
Thanks for your help. I had to make a small change in the calculation and I tried doing it directly in the RDLC file and it worked. It was connected to a dataset and I had to check the stored procedure for getting appropriate value for making the changes in the formula.
I edited the RDLC file using Visual studio 2008. I was able to view the design of that RDLC file and I made the changes there directly on the production file from server and it worked.
I refreshed the application and I was able to see the result that instance.
Thanks for the reference URL and help.
