Buildiing a common interface to MS-Word and MS-Publisher

Dear Expert,

I want to make some automation in MS-Publisher templates. In publisher, I can't record macro. I wonder if I can use MS-Word for the same.

Actually I am thinking to replicate MS word document and its components (including its objects and interface ) to build templates in publisher. Its just a thought, I don't know is it possible or not. I tried hard to crack with macro but failed to record it.

Basically I am a .Net guy, and seeking some help or hints to crack the same using .net.
