After a few days of banging my head on the wall I have a question that has totally
stumped me.

After I installed a program, I can start the task manager and find the target of the
EXE file that was installed and is now running.

Each time I install the program the link is slightly different. Same general area but
never in the same exact place.

Is the a way from VB to extract this location on any system its installed on?

What I am trying to do is run one of three program from a menu function.

Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Thanks everyone!

How have you installed the '.exe'?, using the publish wizard, then setup.exe to install (Click Once) or just copied the files to a machine and created a shortcut?

I say this because (but correct me if i am wrong) I am pretty sure you can access the registry to get the installed path of the application. That is if it is installed using the Setup?

Hope this helps!
