samsung galaxy SIII synch notes

Hello all,

My father in law has just bought a Samsung Galaxy S3 phone.

He had an S2 before and was completely happy with it.

Witht his old phone he was able to synchronize notes with outlook (without exchange) and now with the new phone it seems it is not possible.

Do you know if it is possible? if it is possible, could you give me any hint?
