I am using Linux mint 3.5.0-17-generic.

That is not how it works here at Code Project. You first attempt your project and then if you get stuck, you post your code and ask a question detailing your issues and what you want to accomplish. With all of that information, someone here might be able to help you.

There are lots of sites devoted to Linux which will explain this. Please make an effort to do your own research first.
