Error while adding the variable in vs2008

i created a textbox. when i try to add the variable for that i am getting an error popup saying that

"Internet Explorer Script Error"

I am getting this error for adding variable for all the object like progress bar,
textbox, static box, etc..
i think some problem in my vs 2008.
I am having IE 8 in my windows xp machine.

How to solve this issue,,

Javascript based error in IE,no problem in VS 2008.
