How to display the last X years based on the current selection of the year (which is current)

How can I write a PHP and HTML that show only the data value (final marks) of the last years(2021) based on the current selection of the year(2022) using same name.
For Example:
-If I select 2022, the table should show final mark for 2021 and final marks for the years 2021
-If I select 2021, the table should show final mark for 2020 and final marks for the years 2022

**This 2 data value are in same table which using different year_id, and different score_id

What I have tried:

I tried to get and display data value in current year(2022). The problem is the data value in year past did not show(2021).

While we are more than willing to help those that are stuck, that doesn't mean that we are here to do it all for you! We can't do all the work, you are either getting paid for this, or it's part of your grades and it wouldn't be at all fair for us to do it all for you.

So we need you to do the work, and we will help you when you get stuck. That doesn't mean we will give you a step by step solution you can hand in!
