CBO is Cost-Based Optimization, the optimizer generates multiple execution plans by transforming relational expressions according to optimization rules. RBO is Rule-Based Optimization, the optimizer determines the execution plan of SQL following a series of rules hard-coded in the database. So, which optimizer does the openGauss database use, the CBO or RBO? Do they make any difference?

As you have already repeatedly been told, the answer will be found at openGauss | openGauss[^]

Go away, read the documentation, and start thinking about your homework for yourself instead of expecting others to do that for you.
