How to split different rooms?

I have a point cloud of walls forming a floor with different rooms. I want to split each individual room from the point cloud. Any ideas how can I do this using python?
ps: points are x and y only not z.

What I have tried:

I have tried nearest neigbors but it gave me wrong classification
