I have recently seen a few jobs with .net, and I haven't started yet a coding career, so I am trying my best to learn everything that would look good on my cv and that I would enjoy working with. I studied until now HTML, CSS and JAVASCRIPT and I would like to study something for back end and seemed to me that with .net I can get more jobs than with PHP. But when I looked up .net, many things came up asp.net .net, .net core, .net framework so I am totally lost. On the job description that I've seen was specified only .net.

Please direct me towards other platforms where I can ask this question in case here is not allowed.

Thanks!

What I have tried:

I tried to watch a few Youtube videos, trying to understand what is .net but many of them speak about versions but never about what people mean in job description when they say .net, which would help me

For Web applications you need to learn ASP.NET | Open-source web framework for .NET[^]. However, there is a fairly steep learning curve and trying to gain experience from Youtube tutorials is largely a waste of time. You will also find that a CV without practical experience is unlikely to get you a job. You need to find a college or other type of organisation that provides proper 'hands on' training, and maybe can lead to internships.
