Hi Team,

This is satish kumar, i am facing issue with Visual Studio, to work on BI, i installed first visual studio next sql server, individual applications working fine, but coming to visual studio some services are not running, here my question is what should i install first visual studio or sql server, if possible step by step & latest software links for both.

Personally, I'd install SQL Server first.
On the other hand, I recommend installing them on separate systems.

SQL Server - VS will use an instance if it finds it (and it's newer than it's trying to install) but if you do it afterwards SQL server can remove the VS version and cause problems. I've had this with earlier version of VS, so I always do it that way round now even though they may have fixed it (Hah! Microsoft fix something?) by now.

But the only good reason for installing them on the same system is so you have a local DB for development testing, you should never access the live system from any code under VS!

Do you want me to un-install both VS & SQL Server and install SQL Server first and next VS
