How can user save data to app.config from userinterface in windows form applications

All im seeing is setting data inside app.config during creating application as key, value pair . i want to save data from userinterface and save it to app.config so user no need to change some settings all the time.

What I have tried:

save data to app.config inside the program . thats not wat im looking for . when a user open the application , he should set the limit of variable and if he sets one time he dont need to change it all the time . data should be saved in app.config
