Not able to install Window 7 on P4 computer

my computer hardware is P4 2.4Ghz, 1 GB RAM,500GD HDD,
and i am installing window 7 .after coping files it gets very slow and stop.
what is X86 bit and x64 bit.where is the problems please help me
i am not able to install please tell me

P4? Ha! time to install Linux on it, to really utilize such old stuff. I would recommend Lubuntu (very light version of Ubuntu), as one of the many options...

Did you try the Win7 compatibility tester?

It might tell you about a problem - if it does then it should be able to tell you how to fix it.
