API query to tie back into stock levels on an EPOS system

Im wondering if any coders here can offer any assistance! I have a Wordpress site and now need to be able to incorporate an API into it that can feed into an EPOS system for stock levels. Does anyone know if this is a big job or how practical/impractical it may be?

Any guidance on the subject would be much appreciated.

If there is an option, you can try one of the existing plugins and see if anyone fits your criteria. That would probably turnout easiest of approach here.

Thanks for the reply! Sorry should have mentioned that it's for a multi vendor site. I was looking at some of those plugins previously but they don't appear to work for multi vendor sites.
