I've seen step by step guides before on how to set up a bot to email you when a webpage updates but i'm looking for something more immediate?

I'm a beginner programmer and i'm looking for a way to program a bot to make a notification sound or something like that on my desktop when a webpage updates? a writing website i use frequently has a roulette feature that the devs botched so now in order for it to be usable it requires you to be constantly vigilant of the tab or else you may miss the individual youre paired with.

My thinking is that if i set up a bot to make a noise just as the website connects me to a new individual it would decrease time wasted when it connects and i don't notice, causing me to loose out on a possible writing partner.
