How to save kendo tab strip prefernces

I have

kendo-tab-strip=

with 5 tabs and in each tab i kendo grid with Edit column. when i click on Edit column from second tab it will navigate to different Page and from that different when i click on cancel button it should navigate to second tab only.

In cancel Button i am navigating to Index page where it has all Four tabs.

What I have tried:

In cancel button i have written below code

$scope.model.backUrl = "/Service/Index";

where service/Index is all four tabs where data is loading.
