Get a certificate for an intranet server

Say I have a web server (ip : 172.20.1.26) and I want to use HTTPS for javascript service workers, how can I get a certificate for that machine?

What I have tried:

Tried a self signed certificate, but the browsers complain.

They require a connection to your server for verification, which is not possible behind a firewall.

Finally got self signed working on PC browsers + firefox, chrome on android.
