I face error while try to add reference in visual studio 2019
facing the following error message

Error HRESULT E_FAIL has been returned from a call to a COM component

What I have tried:

I have search and find some soluitions from link I given but its not work for me..

I have also installed vs2012 and vs 2005.
I cant get solution..so please help me..

Solution 1

Please, uninstall all versions of Visual Studio and reboot the computer. Install VS 2019 again.
If error will not dissapear, please follow this: Add a reference raise error: Error HRESULT E_FAIL has been returned from a call to a COM component - Developer Community[^]
