Hello Everyone!
I recently started with Django and I found a project on GitHub and I downloaded it and started working on it but it was created with Django version 1.4.2 is there any way to upgrade the whole project in the new version of Django 3.0, or do I need to do it manually by editing the files. Because I get errors when I try to make migrations or run server. I don't wanna install the version the project was created.
Thank you for your time.

What I have tried:

I have tried to modify the files manually but not success
