What certifications are good to have and worth my time perusing? I am looking to add such things to my resume to make it stand out. I am a software engineer with experience in C#. I am also interested in JavaScript Frameworks and SQL.

Certifications do not always mean much to prospective employers. While they do give an idea that you are capable of studying and passing tests, they do not give a true picture of your ability as a developer. Most employers are much more interested in your real life experience, although having certificates as well can be helpful. First thing to look at is what area you want to learn about or work in.

A certification from edX will look good on your resume, you can study for free and pay only for the certification. See overview here: online-learning-resources[^]
Of course knowledge of SQL is almost indispensable these days, and Javascript when you want to do web development.

Oh, and the best certification you can get is the CodeProject MVP certificate of course :)

i would prefer you to take Microsoft certification if you are working on microsoft technology like c#, aps.net web programming, that will boost your resume a lot.
if you have MSDB profile then i would suggest to take free course and videos from pluralsight which is developed by their SME's and important thing is becoming Microsoft MVP is dream for many technical guys. so keep learning.

When I hire developers Certs don't mean anything other than you can pass a test. I am more interested if you understand the concepts of writing software. Canyou look at a problem and work the steps need to solve it. All that stuff you learned/memorized for the test can be found with google.
