No, you didn't update your question. You did not explain what's wrong with your code. All you have done, you added links to Microsoft forum.

This has nothing to do with Entity Framework. EF is used for "selecting" and "updating"; that's it.

You "select" the records you need via a query.

The results from the query (i.e. you're not "in EF" anymore) are then "grouped" using LINQ (in your program).

So, step 1, select (query) records.
