Error while Adding WebReference(Web Service) in Asp.net site

Hi,

I have a web service in asp.net ie, .asmx file.

I have a site "www.demoweservices.com".

When I accessed the webservice through the url "www.demowebservices.com/Service.asmx" it works fine.

But When I add this service in a asp.net site by "Add WebReference" I got an error

There was an error downloading 'http://www.demowebservices.com/Service.asmx'.
The request failed with HTTP status 403: Forbidden.
There was an error downloading 'http://www.demowebservices.com/Service.asmx/$metadata'.

In ASP .NET, use Add Service Reference

or else take a look @ How to Use a WCF Service without Adding a Service Reference or Proxy[^]
