I just want to split a .GIF into images.

i am using visual studio c++ sdl i just want to split a gif's frams into sepert images to display. and if its possable to get the gifs fps

What I have tried:

iv tryed using SDL_image to display the gif. it only displays first frame image.

In the outstanding article ImageStone also the gif file handling is described and in code demonstrated.
