layout choices

Hello,

for a school project i must make a small appl. for personal administration. At this moment I don't know where to start with de design: Ribbons, Docking, Outlookpanel, .... only it must be a winform appl.

So I want to know what you like .... and because it's a school project i only want use free components

I hope to see the light so I can make a final decision.

There's no way to answer a question about the design of a program without knowing what the program has to do. The layout, controls and functionality of it are all driven by the requirements; stating it's for "personal administration" doesn't give nearly enough info to recommend anything.
