can databinding in wpf make my application work slowly

Hi, I'm only a junior so I have such easy question and I hope somebody can help me with it. So - I have a program, which makes online measuring and writing data to a database table. And I have a view window that shows information for user(binds data from database table). So I need to know - each time when new data is addded to database, if databinding adds only last record to a view window, or it add all the records?
