WOL NIC Settings Windows and Linux

Dear All,

To power on the remote machine in LAN, we can use WOL magic packet. For that the machine NIC setting has to be set listen for WOL packets.

If the machine installed of both WinXP and Linux and I have done NIC settings in Windows OS, Will the same reflect in Linux? Or else I have to do separate configuration?
