Hi,

I want to read current playing buffer of sound card. do i have to write device driver for it.

Solution 1

No, you don't need to write a device driver. You can use the built-in waveIn*() API calls or DirectSound. A quick Google search gives an article[^] right here on CodeProject by Saneesh that should get you started.
