Jquery Mobile dropdown list into popup(Getting text selected)

Hi,working in jquery mobile environment
i have a popup containing 2 controls : drop down list and button
i want on click on this button get the selected value on drop down list
and put it into list view on the main page :
well the problem is that i can't get the value form the popup using the id of the control(drop down list id)

any solution
