It's come to my attention that some code that I wrote and published here free for personal or non-profit use (my Collapsible Panel Bar) is being used in a commercial software product in Russia.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how best to handle this? My first thoughts would be to email them and remind them of the licensing restrictions and see what happens, but I'm tempted to just make the code freely available anyway.

Cheers,
Derek.

Update: I've decided to make the code in question available under the Code Project Open License.

It depends, Russians are not going to care, because they have no copyright laws.  I tend to make all my articles free for anyone who wants them, if you're thinking that way, then I assume you are not really losing anything.  I'd contact them and ask them to credit you for the code in their software, that's about as much as you can ever hope to get out of them IMO.
