I am using crystal report basic 10.5 that are shipped with VS2008. I am using web application in asp.net 3.5. When I export report in ReportViewer to pdf it produces marks like apostrophe(') on almost every word.

Earlier I face reduced font issue when exporting to pdf but I solve the issue by implementing registery key of ForceLargeFonts.

I am using "Jameel Noori Nastaleeq" urdu font.

Should I install sp1 of crystal report Basic?

Any Help Please?

1 solution

follow steps,

1. open fonts folder
2. open your urdu font's property page
3. select 'details' tag
4. now check 'Font Embeddability' property, If it's set to 'restricted' then this font will not be properly convert in PDF.

it means either Fonts are not installed properly or they are pirated.

try to reinstall font, check again
else,
Find out some similar fonts which 'Font Embeddability' property is not set to 'restricted'

Happy Coding!
:)

it is same procedure,
but if it's not showing PROPERTY option when right click font then they are default fonts means not externally installed.

download some font and install it then follow process it will show you,
Embeddability information in detail tag of property
