Can not access shared folder

hi..
I have one folder in my application which is shared on server
i am storing my images in it and accessing at run time
i have path like

\\192.168.1.234\Images

i can access this folder by typing path in search
but while accessing this from application it is searching for the path as

\\192.168.1.234\ApplicationName\Images

tried to search it. but got nothing.
