Generally, Serialization is needed when we want to send data over network or stored in files. Now, Network infrastructure or Hard disk are hardware components that understand bits and bytes only. If we want to save our objects it is difficult until unless it is transformed into a form that network/harddisk understands. Serialization is the translation of the object values/states into bytes that are sent over network or to save.
