if i want to search which files which its third letter(character) is N .... which reply is right to enter at ALL OR PART OF THE FILE NAME textbox at search window XP ..... ??N* or ??N*.* ?

Third letter of what? File name? context? What is the problem? Tag your language, platform, application type, other relevant information. Make the question clear enough. Please don't shout (ALL-CAPS is considered shouting on the Web, not polite.)

its not language yaar .. it's problem in finding this question about search subject on Windows XP ?

well, I just tried ??N* and that seemed to work ... what results did you get?

i got the same ..... thanks ... what about all files which its third is N ... i have to write this formula like ??N* means only its file name or by file name and file type like ??N*.* which is true if question mention "a ll files " not files ?
