How to minimize make a continuing-work program for window phone 7

Hi everyone,
I am writing a service for window phone 7(WP7), and i wanna my client on WP7 could be minimize as in window or hide so that program could continue working and user can use phone freely.When user want to turn off then open the program again and turn off.
But i have no idea.
So i really want an advice from everyone who know better about WP7 then me.
Please give me an advice.
