hi all,

i have a task to develop a web application enrich with CMS , like

www.olx.com
www.dubizzle.com

so , can i do this by using visual studio 2008 , MS SQL server 2005 , c# ??

or u guys have some better idea to do this instead of using the above platforms , but i want to do it usin asp.net 3.5 and c# ..

so do u have any good idea plx tel me that which platform would b better

Well more recent versions of each of these product might be a better choice but if you already have that and are satisfied with that, then it might be OK.

However it might be easier with either Visual Studio 20110 or 2012 RC and updated version of SQL server and .NET. Getting package, samples and other similar thing is more integrated.

You can always download Visual Web Developer 2010 Express or Visual Studio Express 2012 RC for Web and try them.

My 5. I would rather say what OP has is quite OK. VS 2008 is a decent version. Having VS 2010 and knowing it well, I do most of the job in VS 2008.
