Finding the edges of a polygon in an Image

I have a image with number of polygons in it. I have to fill the polygon if i clicked inside the polygon.To fill a polygon i have to draw a rectangle that fits the polygon. How can i draw a rectangle.

Please Help Me!....

I'm in thought of using scan line filling algorithm
