I have SQL SERVER 2008 RC0 Enterprise Edition Evaluation 180 days installed on 2 computers COM1 and COM2 on the same Network

i tried to make transaction replication using Push subscription

i configure the Distributor and the publisher over COM1 and configure the PUSH subscriber on it to use COM2 as subscriber

the replication configured right but when it start there is an error

The process could not connect to subscriber 'COM2\SQLEXPRESS'

Note: i installed the sql using instance SQLEXPRESS it is up to me

QUESTION: for COM2 The sql server agent is must to be start or not as it is push subscriber that initiate from the publisher COM1 ? and only COM1 Sql agent must be start?

SQL replication is a real pain to get working, there are many, many things that can go wrong ...

Have a look though the following[^]

It's much easier to have a domain login (with non-expiring password) that the two servers use for logins and sharing REPL data with
