IHTMLElement to click a link.

I have a web page with a table in which each of the row have a link in the first cell. I managed to get the IHTMLElement of the link (am saying so because get_innerHTML returned "<a önclick="ONCLICK()" href="mysite.com">abcd</a>)".On using link->click() the link is not clicked and i have also tried to figure out a way to get the coordinates of the cell but using get_boundingRECtangle and get_ClientRECtangle is not straight forward in this case and involves a lot of workarounds.

Any ideas?
