Hi,

I discovered by Chance the Inet Address as above, which seems to act as a Local Loop Back. What is the story about it. I tried to google it, but get endles pages about router problems. the "Emulsoft" experimental Server Software tends to bind to "192.168.1.2"on my computer. What I'm writing works with this IP Address, and facilitates Server and Client development and debugging on the One Machine.

Like to know what's behind it though. Also, Emulsoft, in his Notes refers to "192.168.1.1". On My machine it finds "192.168.1.2" Why ?

Regards,

Bram

Here, try this[^]. If you read the links, you'll see that the routers usually map the local network to those IPs, which are reserved for local network use and are not available on the internet.
