Registry key not saving in custom tool

Hi,

I am working on a registry tool. Whenever I change a registry key, on reboot, it reverts back to original value.

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer "HideIcons"

Any help is greatly appreciated.

What registry tool? Also, you may have a group policy setting it back. Check with your IT admin.
