how can i use DLL Or database of antivirus in C#?

hi 2 all.
First , im sorry For bad english.
I'm designing a small AntiVirus application ; and the software will be scan the file for being dangerous.
I could not find a way to detect viruses other than MD5 signature.
But I want to know the antivirus database can be used to do?
Like Trojan remover Database...
