HELP with opening with specified created Application

I am new to c#,My doubt is,
I have created a new format called ".asd"
if i want it to be open by my application what to do currently i am using OpenDialogue and maunupulaing the content of the file and continues with the code.
The question is how do i open my file when i double click the file with ".asd" format like ".psd" opens Photoshop and views data in it.

this has nothing to with c# but with shortcuts in your OS

File extension associations are stored in the registry. Writing this information involves knowing a bit about how applications are created and maintained in the registry. Fortunately, there's a simple article here on Code Project that contains a project that simplifies the access to an almost insane degree. Link[^]
