SharePoint is showing server error

Hello all,

I have a Visual Studio 2010 installed on the system. I want to create a new project in sharepoint.while i create new project,it give an error which is following.

A SharePoint server is not installed on this computer. A SharePoint server must be installed to work with SharePoint projects.

The error is very self-explanatory. You need SharePoint installed on the machine to create a SharePoint project.

Hello,

As mentioned earlier,the issue is WSS is not installed in your machine .

Before starting development or customizing a solution for Sharepoint pls go through the following

HI,

First install SharePoint on your machine, then only it will allow to create SharePoint project.
