start sql service from .net 2008

How can I start and stop an sql service from .net 2008 in windows 7 ?
I found code which uses srvice process class to access windows service but, When I try to stop the service, it gives me error msg as : MSSSQL$SQLEXPRESS on computer '.'.
How can I go about it ?
